Redcloud Energy Management System
muGrid’s Redcloud EMS unlocks utility bill savings that were estimated during design, optimizes operations of your energy equipment, and uses adaptivity with predictive analytics to anticipate what your system needs to do next.
Redcloud EMS uses machine learning and predictive analytics to save you money and reach your energy goals, with operational insights that are more adaptive and flexible than anything else currently on the market.
With Redcloud EMS, your project will unlock utility bill savings that were estimated during design, optimize operations of your energy equipment, and use predictive analyses to anticipate what your system needs to do next. This allows energy assets to realize their full capabilities and enables stakeholders to finally achieve the monetary benefits they expect.
Redcloud EMS is used to optimize energy generation and consumption at buildings, campuses, feeders, networks, and bases so that clients meet their energy resilience and sustainability goals at minimum life cycle cost. Because muGrid has developed the Redcloud model in-house, we can customize it to reflect the subtleties of each client’s particular situation. Redcloud is particularly well suited to energy storage optimization as it can be tailored to consider multiple, stacked revenue streams which are often available to dispatchable assets.

Applications
Behind-the-meter Battery Storage
Operating on a single building with a single meter, these projects are installed with the primary goal of economic return. Battery storage may be combined with solar PV or other on-site renewable generation or may stand alone.
Grid-connected Microgrids
These microgrids may comprise one or multiple buildings and they add an additional design requirement: resilience. Resilience is the ability to stay up when the grid goes down. Grid-connected microgrids provide economic benefits when the grid is functional and backup power in the event of an outage.
Off-grid Microgrids
Off-grid microgrids are islanded 100% of the time, but they still require optimized operations in variable conditions to achieve performance goals.
Utility Scale Energy Storage
Utility scale storage must operate against real-time market conditions.
