Municipal Minigrid Study for Village of La Farge

2023 - Present

muGrid is performing a comprehensive technoeconomic study on the scope to enable the La Farge municipal utility to form a resilient minigrid, islanded from the Dairyland grid during grid outages or other emergencies.  The system will involve solar, battery storage, and existing fuel generation, and will account for future load growth, future customer DER ownership behind-the-meter, and future electrification. muGrid is providing project management, system architecture, and engineering for the study, and is assisting the village in applying for federal funding for minigrid implementation. This study was funded by WI OEI.
